Alta Verapaz is from the jungles in the far north of Guatemala. This is also a collective of micro-family-farms that create an interesting mixture of beans that is definitely not “single origin,” but has the strength found in diversity.
This region is famous the world over for its Cacao. This is also the largest region of Mayan ruins in existence, where they used to covet Cacao as Food of the Gods, a monetary resource, and ceremonial drink for every occasion.

– Hard to pinpoint, on the tip of our tongue
Creating the perfect cup:
One serving is anywhere from 15-45g
Cleanse your space and tools with sacred smoke
Using hot water (not boiling) or your choice of plant milk, mix your desired amount of cacao into a cup or blender.
Add your choice of spices such as cinnamon, cayenne, ginger, tahini, coconut oil, nutmeg, salt (all are optional)
Maple syrup, honey or dates to taste
Blend until smooth
Top with rose petals for an extra layer of love
Add your mushrooms (micro or macro) if wanting a deep experience with both medicines.
